CCTV

CCTV was installed at the Community Centre in March 2022:

  • There are plenty of signs around the building that are clear and visible, notifying individuals that cameras are operating.
  • The CCTV is operating, 24/7 but will overwrite itself monthly.
  • We will not be sharing data with anyone other than the police should they ask.
  • However, if individuals request to see themselves, images would be copied using a USB stick and this would be handed to the individual, not posted so images could not get lost.
  • The CCTV system only captures images on the Centre’s site.
  • Benefits include where undesirable behaviour takes place on the Centre grounds.
  • There is no audio captured and no wifi connection.
  • The CCTV is in a locked room and the system is passworded which only the small core of committee members know.
