CCTV
CCTV was installed at the Community Centre in March 2022:
- There are plenty of signs around the building that are clear and visible, notifying individuals that cameras are operating.
- The CCTV is operating, 24/7 but will overwrite itself monthly.
- We will not be sharing data with anyone other than the police should they ask.
- However, if individuals request to see themselves, images would be copied using a USB stick and this would be handed to the individual, not posted so images could not get lost.
- The CCTV system only captures images on the Centre’s site.
- Benefits include where undesirable behaviour takes place on the Centre grounds.
- There is no audio captured and no wifi connection.
- The CCTV is in a locked room and the system is passworded which only the small core of committee members know.
